Accessibility

Last updated: July 13, 2026

Our commitment

Magnolia Memory Care of Flower Mound is committed to making this website usable by the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as part of the basic quality of the site rather than as a separate compliance project, and we are working to align with widely recognized accessibility standards across both the public site and our administrative dashboard.

Conformance standard

We are working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, cognitive limitations, speech disabilities, and combinations of these.

Measures we take

Steps we take to support accessibility include:

  • Building the site with semantic HTML so screen readers can interpret structure and intent.
  • Providing text alternatives for non-text content where the content conveys meaning.
  • Ensuring the site is navigable using a keyboard alone, including a "Skip to main content" link at the top of each page.
  • Choosing color combinations that aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios for body text.
  • Using a single sans-serif body face at a comfortable default size, with relative units that respect browser zoom and user font-size settings.
  • Self-hosting fonts and other third-party assets to remove dependencies on services that might degrade accessibility unexpectedly.
  • Surfacing accessibility considerations during routine site changes, not only during scheduled audits.

Known limitations

We are aware of areas where the site does not yet fully meet our own standard, and we are working on them:

  • Animated and decorative UI. Some pages use subtle motion (hover states, transitions, decorative accents). We honor the operating-system "reduce motion" preference: when set, animations and transitions collapse to be effectively instant.
  • Decorative graphics. A small number of decorative images and SVG accents may not yet carry explicit empty-alt or aria-hidden attributes. They are not material to understanding any page.
  • Embedded third-party content. Press articles and external resources we link to are governed by the publishers' own accessibility practices, which we cannot control.
  • Automated audit cadence. We perform periodic manual review; a full automated audit cycle (e.g. axe-core) is on our roadmap and will be added to our deployment pipeline.

We expect this list to shrink over time as we close known gaps. If you encounter something not listed here, please tell us. See "Report a barrier" below.

Report a barrier

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the site, we want to hear about it. Please include:

  • The page where you encountered the issue (URL).
  • A short description of the problem and what you were trying to do.
  • The assistive technology, browser, and operating system you were using, if you know them.

We aim to respond within five business days and to resolve material issues as quickly as is reasonably practical. We may follow up to ask clarifying questions or to confirm that a fix has resolved the problem for you.

Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, or with the appropriate authority in your jurisdiction. Filing a complaint with us first is not required.
